A portrait film and science-inspired visual sequence give the presentation its distinct rhythm. This case study explores the website's design and motion treatment, with a playable excerpt of the existing film.

The visual direction

The opening uses a close view of a brass microscope, warm metallic tones, and a dark background. The vertical composition carries the visual focus through the sequence.

Portrait composition

The film is presented vertically in Audney's portfolio, keeping the same composition across screen sizes. The surrounding layout gives the image room without stretching it into a different crop.

Scroll-led sequence

The portfolio preview maps progress through the story to the film's playback position. Visitors can scroll or use a timeline to move through the sequence.

User control

The existing portfolio preview includes play and pause controls and responds to reduced-motion preferences. Its still image provides a useful starting view before the film plays.
